Journal of Advances in Social Sciences (JASS) is an open access journal. All articles are made freely and permanently available online immediately upon publication.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

JASS charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of RMB 2,560 (approximately USD 375) for each accepted manuscript.

The APC is payable only after the manuscript has successfully completed peer review and has been formally accepted for publication.

What the APC Covers

The APC supports the costs of editorial processing, peer review management, production, online publication, website maintenance, and long-term digital archiving.

No Submission or Review Charges

JASS does not charge any submission fee, review fee, or handling fee before editorial decision. Authors may submit manuscripts and proceed through peer review free of charge.

Waiver Policy

No waivers are currently available for the APC.

Editorial Independence

Payment of the APC, or the absence of a waiver, does not influence editorial decision-making. Acceptance or rejection of a manuscript is based solely on academic merit, originality, methodological quality, clarity, and relevance to the scope of the journal.

Changes to Charges

Any change to the APC will be announced clearly on the journal website before submission or acceptance, as applicable.

Withdrawal After Acceptance

If an author requests withdrawal after formal acceptance, any APC already paid is normally non-refundable, except where the journal determines otherwise under exceptional circumstances.
