Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents, and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise, and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper.

Publication Ethics Statement

Journal of Advances in Social Sciences (JASS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity. We strictly prohibit any form of plagiarism, data falsification, duplicate submission, or unethical authorship practices. Manuscripts submitted to the journal must be original and must not have been previously published in any form, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere, including in other languages. Violations of these policies will normally result in immediate rejection without further review. The similarity index should not exceed 30%.

All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process. Editors and reviewers are expected to maintain objectivity, confidentiality, and fairness throughout the evaluation process.

The journal adheres to the guidelines provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Any suspected misconduct will be investigated seriously and may result in manuscript rejection, retraction, or institutional notification.

Authors are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest and ensure that all listed authors have made significant contributions to the work.

Manuscript Requirements

Please submit your manuscript as a Word file (.doc or .docx format) and ensure that page numbers are included in the file. All contributions must be written in English. The recommended minimum word count for the main text is 4,000 words.

More specific information and formatting instructions are provided in the Manuscript Template.

Peer Review Process

All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Manuscripts that are considered a good fit will be sent for double-blind peer review before a final decision (acceptance or rejection) is made.
The typical review period is 2–4 weeks from submission to the initial decision.

The detailed review process is as follows:

  1. Initial Screening – The editorial office checks the submission for completeness, plagiarism, and relevance to the journal’s aims and scope.

  2. Assignment to Editor – The manuscript is assigned to a section editor who invites at least two qualified reviewers.

  3. Double-Blind Peer Review – Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the process.

  4. Review Decision – Reviewers provide comments and recommendations (accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject).

  5. Revision and Resubmission – If revisions are requested, authors revise the manuscript in response to reviewers’ feedback and resubmit the revised version. The revised manuscript may be sent for a second round of review before a final decision is made.

  6. Final Decision – The Editor-in-Chief or the handling editor evaluates the revised manuscript and makes the final publication decision.

  7. Copyediting and Publication – Accepted papers undergo language editing, typesetting, and publication in the assigned issue.

  • Clarity of research objectives and questions
